Unfortunately, when we got back, there was a chirping sound that disturbed our otherwise peaceful slumber in our home that is cooled down to 78 degrees. (I am insinuating that we freeze whenever we go to Utah. It's ridiculous. Everyone else is complaining it's hot and I'm making sure my kids have their winter PJs on)
So - back to the chirping. It didn't bother me too much the first few nights. I am a pretty sound-sleeper. We found and killed a few of crickets, but still chirping continued. Then, it wasn't just a nightly chirp. Some idiot in the orchestra (now I know why they use that word to describe a group of crickets) decided it would be amusing to continue chirping all. day. long.
After hunting and spraying and half a bottle of ibuprofen, I think we got them. All of them. The whole dang orchestra.
So, this morning I no longer felt under siege and had a clear enough head to doing a little something with the kids. Anyone in the mood for lemon cookies as mid-morning snack?
MMM...lemon sounds yummy. Just realized I never got you the ORLY stuff. I'll search my closet this very afternoon. Glad to be home in your own beds? Or do your kids sleep in playpens better than mine do?
ReplyDeleteI am SO sad you had to go back home. I had a wonderful time at lunch and truly needed to see you. I think you are a great mom and you have taught me SOOOo much. I miss you. Keep me posted when you are coming back :)
